Get to Know Our Centres

Kuraby Grove & Koala Calamvale Childcare Centres are members of the Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland and are licensed as 75-place Centres, catering for ages from 0 to 12 years. Qualified educators are individually selected for each position at the Centres, from a range of qualified and experienced candidates.

Parents are welcome at any time to visit the Centres and spend time with their children, and have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities, should they wish to do so. Kuraby Grove & Koala Calamvale Childcare Centres provide safe, nurturing and stimulating environments in which children can learn, grow, and develop to their full potential. Our Programming

Kuraby Grove & Koala Calamvale Childcare Centres are proud to facilitate the Queensland Government Approved Program for Kindergarten, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and Our Time Our Place. Our centres reinforce practices to promote children’s learning through these three programmes. These fortify practices within the Centres to enhance children’s learning through:

Holistic approaches – incorporate all areas of development and spiritual wellbeing.
Responsiveness to children – respond to and plan for the individual child’s unique identity.
Learning through play – planning and implementing a play-based, hands-on, creative, imaginative, fun, and stimulating curriculum.
Intentional teaching – decisive teaching that is focused on purposeful experiences and interactions.
Learning environments – providing an inviting, energetic, creative, and flexible environments that utilise indoor and outdoor activities.
Cultural competence - learning about, respecting, celebrating, and sharing cultural diversity for all.
Continuity of learning and transitions – building partnerships with families and the community enables children to have continuity across their care settings.
Assessing for learning – each child’s education is documented in an ongoing cycle of reporting, planning and evaluating children’s learning and the learning environment.

Our programming fully supervises developmental activities for each age group, with kindergarten and pre-prep/pre-school programmes being available for children of those ages. Our centres embrace multiculturalism and provide an inclusive environment where all children feel comfortable learning.
